Privacy policy

Your audio files

TidyAudio processes audio entirely in your browser, on your device. Files you open are read into your browser's memory, edited and encoded there, and saved back to your device. Your audio is never uploaded to, stored on, or seen by any server. This is not a policy choice that could quietly change with a settings flag; the site has no server-side processing to send audio to.

What the site does load from the internet

The page itself, its fonts (Google Fonts), and, on first use of two features, open-source codec libraries fetched from public CDNs: the LAME MP3 encoder and the opencore AMR decoder. These are program code, not your audio, and your browser caches them.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics (page views, referrers, country, device type) to understand which tools people find useful. Analytics never sees your audio, file names, or anything you edit.

Advertising

TidyAudio is free and may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Ad providers never receive your audio or anything about the files you edit.

Cookies and local storage

TidyAudio itself stores no cookies and keeps no account data. Analytics and advertising providers may set their own cookies as described above.
